Training & Projects
Teacher Training
Background
In view of the fact that many teachers do not have the skills, experience, knowledge or confidence to embark upon using new materials, methods, methodologies and technology, Maths & Science Marketing is able and happy to provide teacher training for those schools that require it.
Naturally the costs will need to be carried by the school(s) and depending upon the school’s requirements, the number of schools attending at the training venue, together with travel and accommodation costs for Cape Town presenters, the costs per school will vary between R 15 000 each (for one school per venue) and R7000 each (for 5 schools attending the same venue). There will be fees between these values for different numbers of schools per venue.
These costs include: the costs of the 9 CD Rom discs required per school, running the training workshop, travel and accommodation for presenters.
Teacher training workshops
The workshops will consist of the following components:
- Duration: 3 hours – usually Saturday mornings.
- Introduction & motivation
- Presentation of all the different types of materials for teachers of Maths, Maths Literacy & Science
- How best to use all the products at school/in the classroom
- Using our products by learners for homework
- How best to use the materials in a school computer centre
- Using our materials for Saturday, Spring, Autumn and Winter school programmes.
- Using our materials for tutorials
- How to fund the necessary hardware that is required in all the classrooms for the maximum benefit of all teachers and learners.
We know that schools, teachers and learners will all benefit greatly from our worthwhile training workshops.
If your school is interested in such a training workshop for your teachers, please contact us for more information and specific requirements, costs, quotes and possible dates.
